Our Story
The Barn Owls formed in 2023 in a barn in Jackson New Jersey after multiple jam sessions it was obvious we had a lineup of musicians that really jelled together

Spider Daniels – Guitar
Playing jam music since 1974, with Al and
Bobby on and off till the present…I left for California for two years in the late 70″s to play Bluegrass andpicked up lots of other influences along the way to create a band called Black Market with Al and Bob, and other friends from high school. After the reggae Latin jazz infused band Black Market broke up in 83,The SDB was formed with a lineup of players too numerous to count playing everything from Country, Blues, Jazz, Jam, etc. to this day Spider has played many freelance gigs also. Spider has performed with members of The Allman Bros. , Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, and The Yardbirds. Spiders eclectic taste in music, along with the band members, shows in their setlist…and their ability to improvise and jam
